Gary Jules – Mad World

It takes me back to my teenage years. I was deeply affected by the quality of the song at the time and the meaning deep inside is just taking you far away. It is not only sad but also very depressing. However, this is a song that can be listened over and over without any sign of boredom. Do you know anything about the singer? Let’s see what we have;
Who is Gary Jules? He was born in America in 1969 and best know for his record for the film Donnie Darko (2001) and then it was released as a single in 2003. If you want to listen to his favourite songs+ Mad World you should get his second album called ‘Trading Snakeoil for Wolftickets’ that was released in 2001. Mad World is definitely a cult but ‘Keep’ and ‘Barstool’ are also worth listening.

Language: English
Release Date: December, 2001

The original video of Gary Jules’ and Michael Andrews’ cover version of Mad World, directed by Michel Gondry. Throughout the video children are making animated figures on the sidewalk below. (the song was featured in the movie Donnie Darko. If you haven’t seen it, seriously consider it.)
